Fun times. Potluck and social
Today was the start-of-the-year potluck party. Being invited to be a teaching assistant for Carley's class got me really enthused for helping the 2nd year students. Thinking back to my 2nd year remember how it was intimidating for me to approach the 4th year students, I thought I'd organize a party in the beginning of the year instead of the end where people finally get acquainted when the school is over. Thinking that this would be a really beneficial event for all of us, I was really excited. It was too bad the turnout of the 2nd year student was poor. I was disappointed at first, but I had fun anyways. We got some awesome Youtube marathon going as the opener for the The Alley Bourbon Bootleggers. Lots of 3rd and 4th years people showed up and I met some really cool people from school.
I still think this event was a success given that I finish doing what I set out to do. And, it feels good!
Plus, having an after party at Social listening to people making their cases to Clément was entertaining. Listening to people really helped me find out more about people around me and what makes them happy. Overall, a very happy night.
